Universal Automatic Vent-L opener is a unique, versatile and highly reliable device. HOW DOES IT WORK? It does not require electricity and works only with the raising of temperature in your greenhouse. Vent-L will protect your s from overheating in sunny days and keep a comfortable temperature in greenhouses or polytunnels. Vent-L starts opening your windows/doors at a temperature of 75°F which is the most favorable temperature for your s’ active growth. The more the outside temperature rises, the more your window opens reaching 100% opening at 90° F. The basis of our device is a hydraulic cylinder manufactured in Sweden. The cylinder is filled with a special fluid, developed by our engineers. It expands under the heat and pushes on the piston rod, which opens the door or window. When the temperature gets lower, the fluid compresses and the return spring returns the plunger and the piston to their original position thereby closing the window or door. Please note that Vent-L can also open windows and doors inwards, which makes it suitable for all types of greenhouse structures. INSTALLATION It does not require special skills for installation. Please read the installation instruction thoroughly. First you need to cool the device to a temperature of 64°F in a greenhouse with an installed, tensioned spring as in the transportation position. Then, only in this position, it on a closed window or door. If you feel unsure, please read the FAQ section in the instruction. 3-YEAR WARRANTY Vent-L device is highly reliable. We haven’t had a single failure in 3 years. Galvanized coating makes it corrosion resistant. The product is well packed in a box along with the required fasteners, product information sheet and installation instruction.
